Best 420 friendly lounges, cafes & places in Toronto where you can smoke weed
While it is legal to smoke cannabis in most public places in Toronto (sidewalks, parks etc.) There are only a few commercial locations in the city where you can smoke pot indoors. If you are visiting Toronto and are not permitted to smoke in your rental unit or hotel, lounges and cafe’s are great places to socialize and consume.
It is important to note that none of Toronto’s cannabis lounges or cafes actually sell marijuana and do not tolerate dealing so you must remember to grab your own from a dispensary.
All lounges and dispensaries are 19+.
In the back of Hotbox Cafe, lies a legally licensed patio for smoking and vaping cannabis. Outfitted with picnic tables and chairs, the spacious deck is great spot to socialize with friends and smoke a spliff. Due to current legal restrictions no food or beverages is allowed on the patio, but their are plenty of great spots to eat in and around the cafe’s Kensington Market location. Hotbox also sells plenty of awesome accessories so be sure to check out their storefront before heading out back. The cover charge to enter the patio is $5.
North420 also offers guided cannabis tours in partnership with Hotbox that include a trip to a dispensary to purchase products and end at the cafe with your cover charge already included. If it’s your first time consuming or visiting a smoking lounge, going with a tour group, whether alone or with friends, can be a great way to break the ice, educate yourself and enjoy.

Planet Paradise is an indoor vape lounge with live Dj’s, a projector screen and TV’s for sporting events, snack bar, juice bar and an arcade. They provide vaporizers on-site which are included in the lounges’ $5 cover charge. Booths can be reserved in advance through their website and gaming stations with PS4’s can be rented at a cost of $20 for the first hour and $10 for all additional hours.
Vapour Central *technically* operates as a ‘Scientific Research Facility’. This is a loophole to the provincial laws banning smoking & vaping laws in commercial spaces and really just means all visitors need to fill out a quick cannabis research survey when entering for #science.
Vapour Central is a combustion free lounge. (No use of lighters, torches, butane, flames). They offer a variety vaporizers you can rent but Volcanos are free to use with your $5 cover charge. They also have soda and snacks for sale and TV screens for movies, sports and music.
Yongesterdam Lounge is a small vapor lounge with an intimate feel at 529 Yonge St. The café offers a variety of beverages including coffee, hot chocolate, pop as well as fresh sandwiches, muffins, desserts, etc. You must be 19+ to enter the vape lounge, bring your own cannabis, be respectful and make a minimum purchase of $5. Food is either freshly baked and delivered in the morning, or prepared on site when ordered. Dabbing and vaping is allowed inside.
There is a large outdoor patio, decorated with art. The patio has a built in bench around the majority of the parameter and tables so you can sit, sesh and be comfortable. On your way out to the patio, there are a few more tables & chairs, with a modern arcade game and washrooms close by.
