Have you ever dreamed of kicking back, lighting one up and discussing the mysteries of the universe with critically acclaimed actor, comedian, writer, producer, and stoner-extraordinaire, Seth Rogen?
Well that’s likely never going to happen. Seth has better things to do.
But soon, if you live in Ontario, you’ll be able to partake in the next best thing and smoke his weed.
Houseplant, the cannabis company founded by Rogen and his long time business partner Evan Goldberg, have announced plans for a soon-to-be expansion into the Big Smoke. The company, which is partnered with Canadian cannabis giant Canopy, said its premier product Houseplant Sativa will be available online and through provincially regulated retailers in the summer of 2019.
“It’s thrilling to be able to grow our company and give those in Ontario access to products that we are so proud of,” Rogen said in a statement.
The company also said it plans to roll out Houseplant Hybrid and Houseplant Indica strains, as well as soft gels and pre-rolled joints throughout the year.
“Early on we made the decision to proceed with measured growth to make sure we don’t compromise the quality of our product or disappoint our customers,” Goldberg said in a statement. “Ontario is an exciting next step for us.”
The OCS also put out a press release on Friday which briefly mentions an agreement to feature the Houseplant product line.
Currently, Houseplant is only available in B.C.
